Job Summary: We are looking for a General Manager for our Business Unit Trapeze UK Commercial based in Aberdeen, Scotland. This role will lead the Business Unit with an employee headcount of 22 people. As an experienced business leader, you will develop and drive the strategy for your business unit. You will be responsible for driving initiatives for organic growth as appropriate, from business plan through to revenue generation, whilst managing and leading to ensure all business unit objectives are met. You will have strong client, project management, operational and technical skills. You will oversee talent attraction and development across the business unit whilst setting and driving the culture ensuring alignment to the financial targets agreed for the business. Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the role serve the needs of our customers who are seeking innovative technology solutions. You will: Oversee deployment of a new software solution to all our existing customers, ensuring commercial success of DAS Anywhere in the UK Bus Operator market Take responsibility for strategy, P&L, and operational performance of the business unit, ensuring budgets are realistically set and then achieved. Oversee support of existing Customers, ensuring their utilisation of deployed solutions is maximised, and that Customer engagement is exemplary, as measured by back to base sales. Ensuring a high degree of staff engagement and performance. Key Role Responsibilities Working under the guidance of the Group Manager and with the support of the Group finance and HR teams, undertake the following high-level responsibilities in a professional manner: Develop and execute business strategies that enable attainment of company goals: Achieve strong organic growth and profitability across the business by overseeing the sale of products and services to new and existing Customers Ensure that Customer implementations are closely managed to achieve on-time deliverables and gross margins according to high standards Maintain strong Customer relationships to ensure Customer attrition is low Provide leadership to all team members, setting accountable goals and monitoring their attainment, and ensuring delivery of agreed staff development plans Working with the leadership team, prepare and execute a detailed plan that will lead to a double-digit net revenue growth over the next 5 years Ensure accurate financial management and active participation in quarterly business reviews Provide strategic advice to the Group Manager and keep management aware of developments within the industry and region Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement of cost-effective operations and market development activities Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated effectively and are followed Oversee and manage business operations and resources ensuring compliance in all areas of business operations and employees, including: Design and direction of technology products and solutions Delivery and ongoing support of solutions implemented with our customers Sales and commercial content to contribute to winning tenders and sales proposals Commercial and contractual engagement with our customers, partners and suppliers, in collaboration with Modaxo EU legal counsel Provide effective leadership, mentoring and day-to-day line management of all reporting staff, including overseeing the local and the international annual talent management process Recruit and retain the right people into the right roles, ensuring motivated, trained and developed team members for the achievement of objectives and goals Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major Customers, key decision makers and stakeholders to ensure the business provides appropriate services Qualifications and Experience 5 years of experience successfully overseeing the implementation and support of complex technology solutions Proven track record of success in a senior level management with a minimum 3 years’ experience Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence company performance Experience in developing and implementing effective strategic and business plans Personal Attributes Proven ability to set clear objectives and motivate yourself and others to consistently achieve outstanding and sustainable results Outstanding leadership and communications skills; be approachable and build strong trusting relationships with stakeholders Very high level of commercial awareness with strong financial acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong client service mindset focused on understanding and addressing Customer needs Highly developed written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to engage with Customers and contribute to the development of high quality, winning tender responses and ensuring that the message gets across with the desired effect Ability to act in a self-directed demonstrating initiative, innovative thinking and to juggle c o mp e t i n g pr io rit i es th r o ug h ou ts t a nd i n g t i m e m a n a g e m ent skill s Strong level of judgement with a strong work ethic, high integrity and trust Organisationally savvy though understanding company culture and the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices and procedures Strong crisis management skills Special Conditions The position involves a moderate level of domestic and occasional international travel Hybrid working though regular travel to the Aberdeen office LI-VB1 Worker Type: Regular Number of Openings Available: 1 And a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading Software Company.
