FJA is recruiting a Process Engineer to join a leading utilities service provider’s Engineering team at their Derby office, with hybrid working options available.
Reporting to the Regional Discipline Lead, you will provide high-quality engineering design services to reduce risks and optimize profits on turnkey and engineering services projects.

Process Engineer responsibilities:
• Coordinating and producing process design documents and drawings, ensuring adherence to relevant health and safety regulations, specifications, and standards.
• Creating cost-effective process designs that fulfil specification requirements and are optimised for efficient construction and commissioning.
• Assessing the impact of outputs on design time, material costs, installation costs, and other disciplines.
• Assisting the Regional Discipline Lead in developing, updating, and overseeing efficient procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
• Coordinating the design with internal and external disciplines to maximise project benefits while ensuring full compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Process Engineer requirements:
• Holds a degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Demonstrated success in developing process designs.
• Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic process designs.
• Experienced in multidisciplinary process plant schemes.
Desirable:
• In-depth knowledge of water or wastewater process design.
• Chartered with a relevant professional body.
• Experience in developing mass balance calculations.
• Experience in developing gravity or pressure hydraulic calculations.
