When you join as a Global Commodity Manager at Rolls-Royce Submarines, you'll play a critical role in leading the sourcing and delivery of indirect commodities, which include IT & Digital (inc. hardware, software, WAN & PLM), Professional Services (inc. Labour Enterprise, R&T & Corporate Services) and Manufacturing Support (inc. Calibration, consumables and machine spares).
Your leadership will directly support the success of the UK's nuclear submarine programme, working closely with stakeholders to shape and execute strategic supply chain solutions. Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. What you will be doing
As Global Commodity Manager, you'll lead sourcing and supplier management activities across key commodities, ensuring we deliver the goods and services critical to the success of our operations. You'll work closely with stakeholders, lead a dedicated team, and drive supply chain excellence across quality, cost, and delivery.
1. Capture stakeholder requirements and translate them into clear, actionable supply chain strategies.
2. Plan and execute strategic sourcing activities, including tenders, supplier selection, and contract awards.
3. Lead, develop, and inspire a team of buyers and planners to deliver high performance and continuous improvement.
4. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
5. Drive governance across procurement activities, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

We're seeking a proactive and experienced Global Commodity Manager who can lead teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and deliver strategic sourcing excellence in a complex, fast-paced environment.
1. Proven track record in procurement, supply chain management, and team leadership within large, regulated organisations.
2. Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing sourcing activities.
3. Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to capture requirements and align sourcing strategies with business needs.
4. Experience driving supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, and compliance.
5. It is ideal that you will have a professional procurement qualifications (e.g., CIPS) or equivalent experience, with a focus on continuous improvement and governance.
