Our client, a civil engineering contractor, is seeking to strengthen its team by appointing an Operations Manager on a permanent basis, based in West Lothian. This role involves overseeing the operational requirements of the business while also playing a key role in developing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the execution of all projects.
Prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and other project documentation.
Lead and manage all aspects of a variety of civil engineering projects.
Supervise and coordinate site managers and supervisors.
Plan and execute work programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring safe and efficient working practices.
Monitor project progress, resolve any site issues, and manage resources effectively.
Work closely with senior management, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Implement and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Liaise with clients and company directors regarding project progress.
Identify variations and any additional scope required.
Collaborate with the estimating team to secure future work.
