Job Title: Autism Support Worker Location: North West England, Lancashire, Fleetwood Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £14.00 Per hour Job Description Job Duties: Provide one-to-one support to individuals with autism in educational settings Assist with the implementation of personalised care plans Support individuals in developing social skills and independence Help create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the individual's needs are met Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care or a related field Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and appropriate support strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with autism is desirable Experience in an educational or care setting is advantageous Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulations Ability to adapt support techniques to meet individual needs Basic IT skills Preferred Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent Training in autism-specific interventions Working Conditions: This is a temporary position based in an educational setting Full-time hours are expected with potential for additional hours as needed May involve some physical activity and assisting individuals with personal care tasks All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
