The Graphics, Games and ML (GGML) Test Engineering organizations play a critical role in the success and delivery of nearly every major Apple product - we're practically involved with everything that our customers interact with! The engineering teams we support have brought the world Metal, Reference Mode on iPad Pro, ProMotion on iPhone and iPad, 3rd Party game controller support, and a little thing called Apple Silicon on Mac. We are the test arm of our engineering teams, working closely with them to develop test plans, execute them, and partnering with them through development cycles to evolve the testing till the very end.
Description
GGLM Test Engineering team in London is seeking a self-motivated test engineer with a real passion for making the macOS experience the best it can be. You will work with the latest Apple products, ensuring that the graphics experience is the best in the world. In this role, test efforts will target graphics and display technologies across all platforms, partnering with engineering teams to ensure product quality. This role will primarily focus on the development and execution of automation to support both new HW and SW features for graphics technology (Metal), display technologies, game technologies, to name a few. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive complex and challenging projects. Strong collaboration with engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role.
1. Experience with functional and performance testing for both mobile and desktop platforms.
2. Excellent problem solving and deductive reasoning skills.
3. Working knowledge of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis, and automation.
4. Experienced in Python.
