The Role
To provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures. Type dictated clinical letters (discharges, clinic follow up, onward referrals, legal reports etc) and clinical notes. Type meeting minutes when appropriate. Prioritise work to meet agreed service standards.
What we'll need you to bring
* SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role.
* Understanding of medical terminology.
* Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change.
* Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems.
* Audio typing skills.
Contract type
* Fixed Term or Secondment For 6 Months.
* Full time.
* 37 hours.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Medical Directorate within University Hospital Hairmyres. The working pattern for this role is Monday-Friday.
