We have a vacancy for a part –time Podiatry Assistant role within the Bolton FT Specialist Podiatry Service. You will be part of a Podiatry service offering foot care, advice and support across the Bolton Foundation Trust within a number of clinical settings.
There will be appropriate in-house training for the role covering both practical and theoretical requirements. This will include hands on skill and dexterity development as well as significant theoretical study/clinical knowledge.
You will be responsible for maintaining your own clinical caseloads as well as support for the Podiatrists within the service. You may also have an administrative role to support day to day running of clinics. We are looking for someone to provide excellent clinical care as well as good quality administrative support to the clinical staff and patients alike.
You will, therefore, need a range of skills which will include good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications and have the willing and drive for optimum patient care, as well as a calm, and helpful attitude and a flexible approach to your workload.
JOB PURPOSE
• To carry out treatment plans devised by the registered Podiatrists in clinics, patients own homes, care homes and nursing homes across various sites in Bolton.
• To assist the Podiatrists with minor surgery and act as clinic assistant as requested.
• To assist the Podiatrists with ulcer management and act as clinic assistant as requested.
• To provide foot health information to patients, carers, general public.
