You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the practice and supporting our dental team in delivering the highest level of patient care. If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have excellent organisational and communication skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage patient inquiries efficiently Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring accurate record-keeping Manage patient bookings and ensure the appointment book is fully optimised Ensure patient details are accurately recorded and updated in the system Process payments, issue receipts, and manage billing inquiries. Handle patient correspondence and provide information on treatments, fees, and aftercare Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, updating patient records, and processing insurance claims Maintain the smooth operation of the reception area and ensure it is well-organised and welcoming Adhere to all GDPR and confidentiality guidelines when handling patient data Support the dental team as needed, ensuring a seamless patient journey from arrival to departure What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is preferred (dental or healthcare background an advantage) Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable personality Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to stay calm under pressure Ability to work well as part of a team and take initiative when needed Competence in using dental practice management software (or willingness to learn) A flexible and adaptable approach to work A professional appearance and a passion for providing exceptional patient care Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is beneficial but not essential.
