Reports to: Farm and Estate ManagerSalary: £30,500Contract: Permanent Full TimeHours: 37.5 per week Monday to SundayBased: Blakehill Farm, Leigh, Cricklade Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is seeking a livestock officer to help us to achieve the Trust’s conservation grazing objectives to support the recovery and protection of wildlife on our nature reserves. The Trust has two livestock bases in north Wiltshire where we currently maintain herds of Belted Galloways, Beef Shorthorn and Aberdeen Angus. The cattle move out to graze our satellite sites during the year and return to the two bases for winter housing. The post holder will work in a small team in North Wiltshire to coordinate and deliver the livestock operation and other tasks related to day-to-day farm operation and estate management. Applicants must share the Trust’s vision for managing special landscapes, be committed and flexible and be prepared to work weekends and occasional bank holidays as the role demands.
