The Neurosciences Institute at CCL incorporates a large team of leading neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuro-rehabilitation specialists providing a comprehensive clinical outpatient and inpatient service, including a state-of-the-art inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit. We are recruiting a Principal Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology, to work within Rehabilitation. Our Principal Clinical Psychologists in Neuropsychology will be autonomous practitioners responsible for delivering excellent patient experience. As part of the Neuropsychology team, you will focus on delivering a high quality, robust and responsive neuropsychological rehabilitation service to adult neurological patients on the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, working alongside consultants and all members of the multidisciplinary team. You will join a growing team of Neuropsychologists who work into diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation services. Working as an autonomous practitioner, you will provide advanced psychological and neuropsychological assessments, formulation and direct and indirect interventions for patients admitted for rehabilitation, ensuring that the service is informed by best evidence and expert knowledge. Use a range of psychological assessment and intervention strategies with the ability to integrate complex data from a variety of sources. Deliver the neuro-psychology service to provide high quality care to all patients. Act as a source of expertise on the management of neurological patients, providing support and advice to more junior members of staff working within the clinical neuropsychology service and other health professionals both within the service and the wider MDT. Participate in education and training of junior members of staff working within the neuropsychology service and other healthcare professionals in the management of psychological disorders. Other duties assigned. What we need from you? Training in Clinical Psychology to doctoral standard, as accredited by the BPS. Post qualification training in Clinical Neuropsychology (e.g., Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology) ( Desirable ). Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Postgraduate experience working within neuropsychology . Experience of specialist neuropsychological assessment and treatment of patients, including in inpatient settings. What can we offer you?
