They are looking for a LSA to join a KS1 class with some general classroom support as well as 1-1 work. We have worked with this school for years and can confidently say how brilliant of an environment they are to work in. The majority of staff we have placed at the school have stayed on long-term which speaks volumes. The school look after a wide range of special needs & disabilities including ASD, ADHD, SLD, PMLD, MLD, SEMH & other complex needs. The Role This role is ideally for someone looking for a full-time/long-term position as consistency for the students is very important, they are open to part-time for the right candidate. Due to the needs of the students it is imperative that you have had experience working with special needs & disabilities, ideally in a school setting. The role will be fairly mixed but it is mainly focused around providing general classroom support in your KS1 class, supporting the teacher with whatever they need as well as providing regular 1-1 support to students. You will receive regular training and support from your class teacher as well as SLT. You will be expected to: Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils. Have experience of working with SEMH/ASD. Feel confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Support students on a personal level as well as educational.
