We are a bed-based Rehabilitation, Re-enablement, and Recovery unit located in Grimsby. Our multi-disciplinary service consists of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and Care staff who all work collaboratively to prevent unnecessary and lengthy stays in hospital or admission into long-term care, wherever possible.
We provide a range of therapies and support to assist people in their recovery and regain their independence, enabling them to return to their own homes safely and with any additional support in place. This could be following a period of illness, trauma, surgery, or a significant health event.

Main duties of the job
Job title: Lead Cook
Hours: 37.5 per week (Permanent)
Salary Range 3 Point 12 £23,807 fixed point pro rata per annum
We are looking for a Lead Cook to lead our catering team to both prepare and provide nutritional, well-balanced meals for patients, including preparing specialised diets, maintaining stock, and ordering within budget constraints. You will also manage a small team of cooks and catering assistants, undertaking supervision, rota management, training, and recruitment.
We are looking for someone who has Production Chef Level 3 or equivalent and a food hygiene course, with experience of working within a busy kitchen and supervising staff.
In return, you will receive further training opportunities, support, and work as part of a wider team within the Inpatient unit contributing to service development.
