Reeds Solicitors are looking for Trainee Solicitors to join our busy legal practice. We will accept candidates who have participated in the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and those who are qualifying under the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) as well as those who wish to qualify through the CILEx route.
Applicants should be motivated to work within our core areas of practice and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the legal procedures, be dedicated to providing the high level of service that Reeds offers to their clients and ideally satisfy the key requirements set out below.

Main area of focus - General Crime
Start date - March – July 2025
Main duties:
1. To ensure that the firm’s high client care standard is maintained by responding to client calls and enquiries proactively and appropriately.
2. Take clients instructions, prepare statements and other legal documents under supervision.
3. Draft correspondence to clients and third parties under supervision.
4. Prepare cases and files for court hearings.
5. Effectively manage time ensuring tight deadlines are met.
6. Undertake tasks to develop and increase fee earning.
Key Requirements:
1. Must have a legal qualification such as LPC, ILEX (either completed in part or full), or be qualifying via the SQE route.
2. Be eager to learn and develop.
3. Good understanding of client care requirements.
4. Must be proactive and apply a consistent attention to detail.
5. Good application of common sense.
6. Ideally have experience of handling own caseload.
7. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
8. Good team work ethics.
9. Willingness to undertake their own advocacy in due course.
10. Good communicator in both written and spoken English.
11. Must be IT literate and be willing to learn.
12. Have a driving licence, or ability to travel.
