Testing Lab Technician
This is your opportunity to secure a great role in our Quality & Testing Lab Team!
Hours of work 47.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm
Starting Rates:
* £620 per week / £32,240 per annum - inclusive of starting basic rate & min weekly bonus
* Plus attractive Annual Bonus up to £1000 - paid out twice per year!
* Plus £500 joining bonus - payable at successful probation

About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete testing of bricks and flags on day 7 and day 28 of production in accordance with quality control plans and to manufacturing lead time.
• Ensuring all product failures on day 7 and day 28 days brought to the attention of production manager and works manager.
• Completion of the weekly Cement report;
• Carry out weekly sieve analysis of aggregates as per schedule.
• Maintaining excel document with all test results.
• Ensure plant labels are printed as per production plan.
• Ensure your areas of work are readily available and preparing for the BBA Audit.
• Contributing to the requirements of ISO 9001.
• Ensuring all information, instruction and warning booklets are printed and in stock for required plants.
• Accurately complete compliance paperwork.
• Accurately filing QC sheets;
• Ensuring testing lab housekeeping (inside and outside) is maintained to a good standard.
• Ensure the upkeep of any testing equipment is maintained in line with Company requirements.
• Order and maintain lab consumable items.
• Maintain knowledge of Production/machine operation/quality inspection
• Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned in line with business needs.

Desired Criteria
* • Slip/skid test certified
* • Other quality related certifications
* • Forklift trained (however accredited Training will be given in-house)
* • Previous Production Industry experience.
* • Previous Quality / Testing experience in a similar setting or in another setting
* • Knowledge of production processes
* • Ability to understand the product and machinery flow throughout all production processes.
* • Full and clean driving license

* • A good standard of Education- ideally 5 GCSE’s – grade C and above
* • Interest in to work in a quality and testing environment.
* • Interest to work in a Production / Manufacturing Environment
