It will be based at our Regions BU office location in Birmingham, but will also require extensive travel to sites, supplier offices and other locations where HMG assets are being managed by Lendlease. The DSC will report to the DEOP Lead Security Manager, for day-to-day duties. This role will entail all aspects of managing security controls for our portfolio of government projects. This is a hands-on role supporting the DEOP Lead Security Manager. You will be working closely with Lendlease management as well as with other internal and external specialists (including information technology, consultants and suppliers) to implement the operational aspects of the Security Management Strategy, to meet Lendlease needs and those of our public sector and private sector clients. The role will need to be able to manage the expectation of the client, and their representatives, to ensure that Lendlease remain compliant with HMG security standards and contract requirements, including but not limited to GovS007, FSC, DEFCON, DEFSTANs and specific contract clauses appropriate to the information management environment. As Deputy Security Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and compliance of our Public Sector DEOP projects. You will be responsible for supporting the management and maintenance of security policies and procedures, working closely with stakeholders to maintain required certifications. The role will also require the detailed checking of Lendlease security applications to work on the specified projects, this will include ensuring that all applicants have completed the required onboarding paperwork correctly and accurately. You will do Act as the Deputy Security Controller for High Security projects across the UK and take responsibility for generating and maintaining Security Procedures (SMP), Manuals, Instructions and SyOps governing our security management. Apply Client security policies and any other relevant standards in a way that best supports the needs of the company, whilst remaining compliant with all mandated requirements Identifying and understanding the risks and appropriate corresponding controls to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability of information and assets across the Lendlease High Security portfolio. Support project teams to develop detailed logistics and security minded delivery strategies for our projects. Provide security advice and audit services covering suppliers and sub-contractors that deliver work on High Security projects ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Verify through audit that the controls are in place for supply chain to be 100% compliant with security paperwork and requirements of DEOP and other government project requirements to agreed frequencies Ensure our supply chain complies with the appropriate security controls outlined in our High Security contracts and by the client. Security management and providing advice and guidance of security requirements for site offices and locations where client assets are held. To deliver in person and virtual Security related cultural interventions and training on all matters relating to the delivery of a High Security project and other associated government standards. Provide assistance in the interpretation of security requirements for establishments and provide recommendation and process The Company may also require from time to time that you to fulfil, within reason, other duties aligned to your position You will bring Ability to guide and steer project teams in the delivery of DIO and other government Department High Security Standards Ability to guide the HMG Security Management protocols, processes and procedures for project wide application Able to provide technical training. Proven document and information audit competence Capability to influence site teams and sub-contractors to achieve the correct levels of security performance Ability to interpreted data into improvement plans Ability to continually improve both process and procedures within the business Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all applicants information Ability to direct sub-contractors in aspects of Security Management Ability to present ideas and messages relating to security to site teams, members of the business and sub-contractors.
