Making it happen- your role An important position has just become available for a Practice Manager at the home of three busy individuals who live in a beautiful bungalow in the Teddington area of Richmond. The primary focus of the role is to lead the team of dedicated, pro-active and experienced United Response Support Workers (“the Team”) who care for the three residents. The role of Practice Manager is challenging and rewarding in equal measure. You will work alongside the Area Service Manager, supported by the families of the residents, to ensure the Team deliver a high-quality service to enable the residents to live a busy, independent, productive and fulfilling life. The Practice Manager will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of a very busy home. You will organise and monitor 24 hour service provision to our clients, to the highest possible standard. You will lead, encourage, supervise and mentor the Team, as well as provide advice and guidance to the residents and their families. The Role – what it takes To be a great Practice Manager, you will have experience, at management level, of working in social care. You will at minimum have an NVQ3 in Social Care or equivalent. Previous experience within a management or team leader role is essential. We would welcome those who are looking to progress further within the Social Care field and are prepared to study for an NVQ5 in Social Care Management. The ability to create and lead an engaged, motivated, positive and forward thinking Team is fundamental to the position, as is generating a sense of fun. For this reason the right candidate will be able to connect with all types of individuals, show compassion and treat everyone with dignity and respect. We also require excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong IT and numerical skills.
