Caring in nature, you must be able to work well under pressure in this very busy area. Flexible and part-time working patterns will be considered. You will possess good interpersonal and communication skills; IT skills would be an advantage. The ability to maintain a sense of humour is a must. You will need to be committed to working within a team to deliver high-quality care and will be able to work well under pressure.

The post holder will:
1. Work as part of a team to provide an effective, safe environment of care for individual patients, their relatives, and carers.
2. Be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care without supervision.
3. Act as the designated deputy to the Ward Manager.
4. Teach and supervise junior and unqualified staff and maintain a learning environment.
