* The Assistant Technical Officer will work under the direction of the team leader and unit co-ordinator assisting in the provision of the day to day cleaning, care and maintenance of all the endoscopes and related equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient usage.
* Work in co-operation with the Theatres, wards and departments to provide a flexible and efficient service that is responsive to the needs of the patients and the Trust.
* At all times and throughout all production areas, ensuring safe systems are followed that will support patient and staff safety.
* To deliver and collect medical Pathology samples and supplies.

Job responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Assistant Technical Officers who are interested in a career in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.
We are excited to be opening a brand-new purpose-built Endoscopy Unit at our Tiverton and District Hospital site. The unit will have three procedure rooms and will deliver a range of diagnostic endoscopic procedures. The unit will have its own dedicated decontamination suite on site, where Assistant Technical Officer will support the provision of decontaminated endoscopes for our patients.
We are looking for highly motivated and adaptable people who are committed to providing the highest standards of care for our patients.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
