The Antenatal Office is the Hub of the Maternity Department where you will liaise with a wide range of professionals and patients. This position is based at Scarborough Hospital, part of our York and Scarborough Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Work is varied, challenging, and accuracy is essential. You will need to have excellent communication skills and have experience using Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook. Please note, the working patterns are: Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday 08:30-16:30 (22.5 hours per week) Main duties of the job The post holder will provide support directly to the Obstetrics team, working closely with the Midwives on Womens Unit Reception & contributing to an efficient and effective service, within a very busy environment. You will work with clear departmental and national procedures, and have responsibility for receiving, maintaining and providing manual and electronic data, often containing sensitive and confidential information. Making patient appointments and updating records via Badgernet. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently using your own initiative as well as part of the wider team in the Maternity Department.
