Data Migration Analyst
Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Birmingham)
Salary: up to £70,000

A fantastic opportunity has come up for a Data Migration Analyst to join an exciting and innovative organisation as they continue to grow all areas of their teams, with a huge focus on Data.
They are looking for someone who will be responsible for supporting the implementation leads and migrating data from legacy to operating systems.
Responsibilities
1. Facilitate data reviews to ensure on-time completion and data quality
2. Become knowledgeable in the flow of information (data/documents/transactions/messages)
3. Track migration issues to ensure these are reported, fixed and validated
4. Ensure various milestones are met in accordance with the project plan and timeline
5. Determine where custom scripting may be required, clarify the details and validate the results
6. Obtain data from legacy broker management systems in various formats
7. Format the data into a standard template, often using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL, Alteryx or other analytics applications
8. Collaborate with the business, the onboarding brokerage and/or Implementation leads to facilitate clean-up and complete mapping the data from source to destination
9. Prepare and format Insurer and Employee lists for discussions with the brokerage and configuration into the destination broker management system
10. Validate data using various reports and migration tools to determine any migration issues or further clean-up needed
11. Liaise with our conversion vendor to ensure project requirements are specified and discuss any conversion questions and impacts
12. Liaise with business representatives, developers, and Project Leads to address any data issues and ensure compliance with migration standards
13. Write database extracts, analyse tables, and write extraction procedures using technologies such as Oracle PL/SQL
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including lookups, other formulas and pivot tables
2. Ability to communicate complex migration issues to non-technical stakeholders
3. Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities
4. Ability to take on a variety of projects and adapt to changing business needs
5. Professional presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills
6. Willingness and flexibility to adjust to and conform with changing timelines and schedules
7. Ability to work with colleagues and clients across all time zones as necessary
Education and/or Experience
1. Alteryx experience is preferred
2. Microsoft SQL Server experience
3. Experience with migration of data from one system to another
4. Prior involvement with an organization’s system implementation
5. Ability to self-teach and mentor others in data migration processes
6. Experience in Applied Systems Epic software
