The department We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Private Funds Paralegal to join our dynamic team in the London office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Private Funds practice, assisting attorneys with the formation, structuring, and management of private investment funds. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging, and collaborative environment. The role · Assisting in All Stages of Private Funds: Support attorneys in all phases of private funds, from fund formation and the closing process to private fund portfolio investments and transactions. · Document Preparation: Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and editing of fund formation documents, subscription agreements, private placement memoranda, and other related legal documentation. · Regulatory Compliance: Support attorneys in ensuring compliance with UK and EU regulations, including AIFMD and other applicable regulatory frameworks. Assist in preparing regulatory filings and maintaining accurate records. · Transaction Support: Provide transactional support for fund closings, including managing closing checklists, organizing document execution, and coordinating with internal and external parties. · Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, investors, and service providers to facilitate smooth communication and assist in addressing inquiries related to fund documentation and regulatory matters. · Research: Conduct legal and regulatory research related to private investment funds, including staying up-to-date with industry trends and changes in the legal landscape. · Document Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files related to fund formation and management. Ensure all documentation is stored accurately and is easily accessible. · General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Private Funds team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and assisting with trackers. Graduate who has secured a training contract highly desirable but not essential. · Possesses excellent drafting skills and strong organisational skills. · Hardworking, resilient team player with ability to operate under pressure. Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritise appropriately and delegate to resources available. · Collaborates effectively and professionally with clients, partners, associates and staff. · Possesses strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate to people at all levels. · Delivers high quality work product and have the ability to follow up and follow through. · Able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a team player, in a fast-paced environment. · Able to work effectively in a multi-office environment and culturally and educationally diverse environment.
