We seek to employ an inspirational academic and pastoral practitioner who is passionate about safeguarding and educating children aged 3 to 7 and who demonstrates outstanding experience in the strategic leadership and development of Early Years and Key Stage 1.
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding solution-focused leadership skills, possess excellent emotional intelligence as well as excellent written, listening and oracy skills. They will demonstrate a high level of marketing as well as organisational and people skills. In line with the school’s Mission and Values, they will promote a JD culture of progressive, incremental, child-centred active learning in which pupils learn integrity, independence and inspiration.
The successful candidate may have previous experience of working in independent schools, but this role is equally open to applicants who have never taught in independent schools. They will enjoy engaging with prospective, current and former pupils, teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors. They will demonstrate excellent administration, leadership, organisational and communication skills, be able to multi-task effectively in a busy and demanding environment, have a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders at all times.
