Here is a great opportunity to join The Caxton Surgery as we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic qualified Nursing Associate to join and support our excellent Nursing team.
We are a well established and friendly practice of 14,200 patients in the attractive market town of Oswestry near the Welsh border. We have a good reputation, low staff turnover and excellent patient feedback and strive to provide the best care possible to our population.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate would be available to work 32-37.5 hours across 4-5 days a week but there might be some flexibility for the right candidate. You will provide and maintain a high standard of care for patients and provide assistance to the Nursing team and Doctors.
The duties will include the normal duties undertaken by a Nursing Associate including phlebotomy, injections, vaccinations, wound care, dopplers, health checks, cervical smears and infection control duties. Extra training and support will be given to enhance and develop the skills needed for this role whilst in post.
Please note we are looking for a candidate with a UK Nursing Associate qualification already.
About us
You will be joining an experienced, well led Nursing team including Health Care Assistants, GP Assistants, Practice Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
The wider practice team includes pharmacists, Dieticians, Mental Health Practitioners, Care Co-ordinators and 9 GPs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
1. A qualified and registered Nurse Associate with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
2. Previous experience in a clinical setting (primary care experience is desirable but not essential).
3. Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
4. Knowledge of immunisation schedules and experience administering vaccines.
5. Previous primary care experience.

Depending on experience, pay is dependent upon experience but starting band 4.
