Job Title
A Maintenance Shift Engineer is required to join a close-knit team, working on behalf of one of our valued partners in the UK Print & Packaging Division.
This is a 37.5 hours per week position covering core hours of 10am - 3pm, with a days-only shift commitment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide emergency breakdown response to production machinery and equipment, as well as supporting services.
* Perform regular planned maintenance according to the schedule.
* Offer ideas and suggestions for improving all aspects of engineering on site.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to planned or unplanned maintenance of equipment.
* Support site management in maximising machine utilisation.
* Action mechanical/electrical repairs and maintenance to all services, machinery, and equipment.
* Closely monitor production equipment performance, note problem areas, offer improvements, and carry out agreed modifications.
* Account for all items removed from stores and maintain relevant records.
* Ensure a safe system of work and risk assessments throughout daily duties.
* Organise external service engineers and contractors, ensuring they adopt safe systems of work.
Requirements
* HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred).
* Time served recognised apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance.
* NVQ level 3 in maintenance operations or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
* Motors/Drives.
* PLC's.
* Gearbox/transmissions.
Salary
£40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
