The Master of the Households Department handles all aspects of hospitality across the Royal residences.
In this role youll support the Housekeeper in delivering housekeeping services to the highest standards at Windsor Castle.
Key responsibilities
* In avaried and dynamic role, youll support the Housekeeper to manage the delivery of all Housekeeping operations and contract cleaning provision across the Windsor Castle Estate.
* With oversight of the teams day-to-day activities, youll manage rotas, monitor and supervise work, provide guidance and training, and identify operational improvements to ensure the team provide housekeeping and guest services to the highest standards.
* Youllplan andprioritiseactivities alongside a busy calendar of events and functions, liaising with colleagues and external contacts to manage logistics and resources including linen and laundry services.
* People management will be a large part of the role too; youll help with recruitment, manage performance and support the ongoing development of the team.
* And by encouraging ideas and adapting to each new situation, youll be a driving force behind the housekeeping team.
Although based at Windsor Castle, youll work closely with the housekeeping team at Buckingham Palace. There will also be an expectation for you to work evenings and weekends on occasion.
Essential Criteria
* With a relevant housekeeping qualification (or working towards one) and previous practical housekeeping experience at a supervisory level, youre keen to take the next step in your career.
* Highly organised with excellent time management skills and a pro-active, flexible approach, youre adept at planning ahead and responding to issues in-the-moment.
* With a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach, you can be relied on to deliver to the highest standard.
* With previous people management/supervisory experience, you enjoy developing and motivating others and sharing your expertise.
* As a confident and professional communicator, you can build great working relationships with internal and external colleagues alike.
