Main Purpose: To support our kitchen operations at the Carrington Training Complex. Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, ensuring that our facilities meet the stringent requirements expected in a high-performance environment.
Due to the location of the training ground, a full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle is an essential requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Washing, rinsing, sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This ensures cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
2. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors and equipment. Preventing cross-contamination.
3. Ensuring food residue is off dishes and kitchen utensils before sorting and loading racks of dirty dishes into a professional dishwashing machine.
4. Sorting and returning clean plates to their proper storage spot.
5. Collaborating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation.
6. Reporting any maintenance issues, shortages or incidents to the appropriate manager.
7. Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as required by the kitchen’s needs.
8. Adhering to Health and Safety standards by following hygiene and safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
9. Proper disposal of food waste, recycling and general kitchen waste in accordance with hygiene and environmental regulations.

Requirements:
1. Full UK Driving license and access to own vehicle – The Carrington Training Complex is not accessible by public transport, so the ability to drive is mandatory.
2. Proven ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in a professional setting.
3. Strong attention to detail, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. Ability to work effectively in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
5. Flexibility to work – including early mornings, evenings and weekends up to 40 hours per week.
6. Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar cleaning role in a high-standard environment is advantageous.
