Save lives with your scheduling skills. As a Clinical Research Organization, Fortrea operates four Clinical Research Units in the UK and US. Our crown jewel is Drapers Yard in Leeds—a brand-new clinic with 100 beds, dedicated to Phase I clinical research, just a 7-minute walk from the train station.
We're looking for a Team Operations Scheduler for a 12-month contract, office-based, full-time, with 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday during business hours. Overtime may be required, compensated with either flexi time or enhanced pay.
On a typical day, you'll work in International Phase 1 clinical trials, answering the question: Is the new medicine safe?
You'll plan and coordinate teams, ensuring all clinical procedures and participant safety activities are covered 24/7. Responsibilities include:
* Reviewing study tasks daily to assess staffing needs and scheduling team members.
* Developing and maintaining detailed shift rotas for over 50 colleagues.
* Managing emergencies to ensure the clinic is always staffed.
* Handling staff PTO, holiday requests, school schedules, sick leaves, and other scheduling issues.
* Coordinating with the Planning Team and Clinic Leadership to align staffing needs with project timelines.
* Contributing to weekly logistics meetings, discussing staffing needs and study requirements.
You'll also perform study procedures: blood withdrawal, taking vital signs, and ECG when needed.
As a Team Operations Scheduler, you'll bring experience in a scheduling role, ideally planning and scheduling diaries, rotas, and shifts for large teams. You'll need:
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
* Confidence in asking colleagues to adjust shifts or take on additional work at short notice.
* MS Office Suite proficiency, especially in Excel.
A background in Clinical Trials or Healthcare may be a plus, but we have a robust training program in place. If you're not familiar with blood extraction or using ECGs, don't worry—we'll train you.
Join us and be part of something extraordinary: only our Leeds site will offer you the opportunity to witness new medicines being researched in real time. When the drug you worked on gets approved, you'll know you've made a global impact on patients' lives around the world.
Embark on a fulfilling journey with us as we pursue our mission: To help make life-changing healthcare solutions possible.
