Our client, a global leader in customer data science, is transforming the way retailers plan and execute their product assortment strategies. By leveraging data and advanced analytics, they help some of the world’s most iconic retailers optimize their range and display strategies to better serve customers and drive growth.
As they continue to expand their impact, they are seeking a Director – Range to lead transformative projects, engage with senior retail executives, and drive innovation in category management. This role will work closely with C-suite stakeholders, including the CEO of a major retail group, shaping long-term strategy and delivering market-leading solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead high-impact transformation projects, influencing board-level decisions and shaping the future of retail ranging.
2. Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize product assortment and display.
3. Engage directly with C-suite executives, including the CEO, to present strategic visions and drive adoption.
4. Work with third-party technology providers to develop automation and AI-driven tools for store-specific ranging.
5. Challenge conventional retail practices, introducing innovative methodologies that drive competitive advantage.
6. Build credibility as a thought leader in the retail space, advocating for data-led decision-making.
Your Profile
1. Several years of experience in retail, consulting, or category management, with a strong background in strategy and transformation.
2. Proven track record of working with senior retail executives and influencing high-level decision-making.
3. Strong subject matter expertise in product ranging, category management, or merchandising.
4. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive both short-term impact and long-term strategic initiatives.
5. Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
6. A challenger mindset, capable of driving innovation and convincing senior stakeholders to adopt new ways of working.
