We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join a well-established company, being instrumental in promoting a culture of safety, providing expert advise and ensuring compliance with regulations across all operations.
Job responsibilities:
Ensure that all risk assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals
Support the Site Management team on production of Risk Assessments and associated safe system of works for all activities
The completion of Health and Safety Inspections, preparation of audit and inspection schedules and the preparation of various reports as requested
Oversight of sub-contractor approval system and engagement with the supply chain on all health, safety and environmental matters
Accident, Incident and Near Miss reporting and investigations
Producing KPI data and trend analysis
Ensuring the workforce is trained, competent and knowledgeable
Ensure company procedures and practice are in line with industry standards and legislatively correct
Key requirements:
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) Qualification
Membership of an appropriate professional body, e.g. IOSH
Minimum 5yrs experience within Health & Safety
Extensive experience of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation & its application
Understand the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1975, CDM 2015 & all relevant legislation to Company Operations
Desirable: Additional specialist qualifications (First Aid at Work Scaffold Inspection, NEBOSH Fire Certificate, P400, P402 P405 etc)
