One of the most renowned independent schools in the UK is seeking a proactive and dedicated Health and Safety Manager. This role offers the unique opportunity to oversee health and safety processes in a historic setting, while working closely with the Estates Bursar and reporting to the senior leadership team.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the implementation and review of health and safety policies, ensuring compliance is met, according to safety legislation
2. Working with external agencies, safety consultants, and inspection bodies as-and-when necessary
3. Leading audits, investigations, and risk assessments across the school campus
4. Providing expert advice to all departments and staff on health and safety matters
5. Organising and delivering safety training programs to ensure a safe environment for staff, pupils, and visitors
Minimum Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with relevant IOSH accreditation
2. Proven experience in a Health and Safety role of similar setting
3. Excellent communication skills and experience in delivering training
4. A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
