Job Purpose To provide management cover, support and guidance during the night to ensure the safe deployment of staff and resources to meet the needs of all children and young people on campus. To ensure a safe campus is maintained in an emergency, liaising with appropriate Senior Leadership team. To provide performance management and development for night team, and supporting the team to worktogether to ensure all objectives are met and policies and procedures are complied with to achieve the highest standard of care. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Responsibility for the management of a team of staff across nights, supporting with the allocation of staff and any changes that need to be made to meet business need. To support the Senior Night Manager to supervise, oversee and develop the night support workers. To support the implementation of the Children’s and Adult Residential Action Plans, linked to strategic objectives, to ensure that performance measures are met in line with the regulatory requirements of Ofsted and CQC. Maintaining and promoting effective communication channels within and between houses, with parents, advocates, the care directorate, other departments, and outside agencies to ensure a consistent multidisciplinary care package as appropriate Providing information to students, parents, purchasers in accordance with Data Protection legislation and Young Epilepsy policy. Care To ensure all night staff have a clear understanding of children and young people communication needs Together with the students, ensuring placement plans/student support plans are written to encompass all their needs at night and that these are reviewed and updated regularly. To provide a consistent, confident, and appropriate approach to meeting individual student need ensuring that best care practice and student management protocols are complied with. Providing accurate written reports for meetings in a timely manner to the appropriate department.
