Team: Homeless Accommodation and Support Team
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Temporary Accommodation Officer. In this rewarding role, you will provide vital support to individuals and families experiencing housing challenges. You will assist in providing safe, temporary housing solutions as well as offering guidance and support to help customers to navigate their accommodation needs. You will work alongside a dynamic team to ensure the smooth running of temporary housing services.
The ideal applicant will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life. We are looking for somebody who is empathetic that can work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. The Temporary Accommodation Officer will be required to manage multiple cases simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
you will need the ability to travel inside and outside of the borough to maintain a portfolio of properties
Immediately responsible to Temporary Accommodation Coordinator and the Homeless and Housing Options Manager.
Town Hall, Bury or any other base within the borough, as required
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
