We are currently recruiting for a motivated individual to work within the Housing Capital Projects team based at Gresham Road Depot Nuneaton.
Under the general supervision of the Senior Clerk of Works, this post will involve supporting the team to manage quality and safety throughout construction and refurbishment works within NBBC’s Capital and Revenue programmes through quality control inspections, for conformity and assurance. Ensuring Health and Safety Legislation, Building Regulations and Planning processes are adhered to and implemented by our contractors.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Hold a qualification to NVQ 2 or similar in the building trade or housing maintenance and supporting proven experience in site inspection within the Construction industry. Qualified to HNC/Level 4 in construction or prepared to work towards.
2. A good knowledge of health and safety legislation, along with building regulations and planning processes.
3. A good level of numeracy and literacy.
4. Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt behaviour when dealing with different stakeholders and changing situations.
5. Must hold a full driving license, have access to a vehicle and be able to attend site visits.
6. Ability to make site visits, be able to climb ladders/scaffolding, access higher levels and to enter in restricted spaces.
7. Excellent IT skills across all Microsoft packages.
8. Ability to plan own workload, make sound judgements and to work under pressure.
