IT Support Engineer Location: GatesheadAre you an experienced IT Support Engineer with a passion for hardware? We are seeking a talented individual to provide exceptional technical support to our expanding customer base as part of an exciting new business venture. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise and resolve hardware-related issues up to a second line level. Deliver onsite technical support, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with hardware-focused project work, including server and network installation and configuration. Maintain high standards of documentation and create training materials for first line support. Document escalated hardware issues to ensure they are not repeated. Provide regular feedback to drive technical and process improvements. Required Skills & Experience: Extensive experience with end user device hardware and printer support. Proficiency in Azure, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365 Administration. Experience with Windows Server 2016-2022 and Microsoft SQL Server Administration. Knowledge of SharePoint Administration, Anti-Virus management, and vulnerability resolution. Expertise in backup and recovery, including DRaaS, EDR, and MDR. Strong understanding of networking, Network Access Control, and digital telephony (VoIP, SIP trunks). Significant experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications 2016 and 2019. Remote software deployment skills. Understanding of firewalls and networks, with Ubiquity experience being advantageous. Prior experience in a fast-paced environment in a similar role. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment. Fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
