Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 dependant on skills and experience
Here at Southern Water, we are looking for a Pollution Investigations Lead, based in our Durrington office.

The pollution investigation lead is responsible for directing and enabling pollution investigations to determine their root causes. You will be required to collate data and information and conduct or enable desk top investigation, interrogation, and analysis on pollutions on our Wastewater and water assets.
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate reactive analytical investigations to enable the site owner to conduct an accurate and timely review of their pollution event.
As well as the above, you will be proactive on analytical investigations on pollution risk sites aiming to reduce or mitigate the current pollution risks, ensuring you upload relevant actions and updates to corporate governance and record systems.
There will also be a duty to compile timelines for Director review reports for the most serious pollutions as well as reporting the findings from the investigations completed and devising mechanisms to ensure wider lessons learnt are implemented.
You will also be expected to take part in a regular rota to support incident management.

Technical Knowledge:
* To have an understanding of the Southern Water IT systems including Ellipse, Pi, SAP Bi, EDM and CALMS, pollution database.
It is essential you have relevant scientific or a data-based degree.
