Our client is a forward-thinking and creative employer within the manufacturing industry. They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Part-time or full-time hours are available, with options for 37.5 hours or part-time, 25 hours a week.
Your new role
* Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
* Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records.
* Handle queries related to accounts payable and receivable.
* Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Payment Processing: Record and allocate customer payments to Sage accounts.
* Bank and Cashflow Management: Daily bank reconciliations and updating the cash flow model.
* Monthly Management Accounts: Help with invoice creation, preparation of debtor and creditor lists, VAT returns, and other financial reports.
* Payroll: Process payroll, manage pension schemes, and handle year-end payroll tasks.
* Year-End Accounts and Audits: Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts, coordinate with auditors, and support PBA reconciliation.
What you'll need to succeed
* AAT certification or equivalent qualification.
* Experience with Sage and Excel software.
* Background in an accounts assistant role, ideally including credit control and payroll duties.
* Self-motivated and proactive, able to tackle challenges both independently and as part of a team.
What you'll get in return
