GL@GP recruits, employs, trains and supports pharmacists working in General Practice to deliver high quality patient services. We currently deliver Practice/PCN Pharmacist services to a number of General Practices and PCNs across Greater London.
We have a reputation for providing pharmacists who are ready to work in general practice by preparing and training them using experienced practice based pharmacists (PBPs) and GP Trainers. We work with the GP partners in the Bromley-by-Bow Health Partnership to enable a training environment for pharmacists.
NB. This position is based in Barnet PCN6. The East London location is our training practice.

Main duties of the job
Qualifications & Experience for the role:
* Minimum of 5 years post registration experience
* Evidence of further education in clinical pharmacy is essential e.g. NHS Pathway Training for Practice Pharmacists or a Clinical Pharmacy Diploma
* Evidence of CPD relevant to General Practice is essential
Successful candidates will be part of a team of GL@GP PBPs and technicians who meet 2-3 times a month to train together and to learn from and support each other.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is an experienced pharmacist, who acts within their professional boundaries, supported and working alongside a team of General Practice pharmacists.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide clinical pharmacy support to the Senior Clinical Pharmacist to achieve the PCN/Practice priorities.
The post holder will provide support to the PCN/practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries, ensuring that the practice integrates with community and hospital pharmacy to help utilise skill mix, improve patient outcomes, ensure better access to healthcare and help manage workload.
The role is pivotal to improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies and so requires motivation and passion to deliver excellent service within general practice.

Person Specification
Experience
* Working as a pharmacist for 5 years or more post registration
* Experience of working as part of multidisciplinary team and gaining the cooperation of relevant stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes for patients
* Prioritising and problem-solving well under pressure
* Understands the role of the pharmacist in General Practice.
Qualifications
* Mandatory registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
* Clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent training/experience
* Independent prescriber
