Description: Mayville High School Limited is seeking to recruit additional Governors who are interested in joining the Board and assisting us in planning and implementing our future strategy and have time available to contribute to working with our team.
Mayville has been at the heart of Southsea life since 1897 and, to this day, we continue to follow our founding philosophy of educating the 'whole child' – 'The head, the hand and the heart'. Our ethos serves to instil a life-long love of learning in every pupil. Throughout our Nursery, Junior, Senior & Online Schools, studies and activities are inclusive and structured to meet the needs, challenge the expectations and exceed the goals of each individual. In 2023 we opened our new Wyvern Unit which specialises in supporting pupils with special educational and advanced neurodiversity needs. More information about Mayville can be found on our website here.
There are currently eight serving Governors with a wide range of skills in Education, Finance, Business Management and Medicine, some of whom are parents of former and current pupils. We are now looking to recruit individuals with backgrounds in Property Management, Health & Safety and Compliance and business development, but will welcome interest from any individuals who wish to contribute to our future plans, particularly those who live in the vicinity of the School.
