Assembly Technician required for a precision mechanical engineering company, based in Sunbury-on-Thames.
Due to increasing growth, the company has a vacancy for a heavy clutch assembly technician to join their ever-growing team.
Assembly Technician Job Overview
Working for a company producing a unique freewheel device based on gear elements and used in multiple industries and applications throughout the world.
The components range in size from less than 0.1 meters in diameter to 2.0 meters and can include casings, bearings, and control systems.
Finished products range from 2 kg to 16,000 kg completed items.
This is a good opportunity to become a member of a great team and be involved in helping with the general operations within the setting, assembly & testing of clutches within the company.
Assembly Technician Job Requirements
Requires a good understanding of general engineering practices and the ability to read technical drawings.
Able to follow issued build instructions and verbal instructions, and capable of clear and concise recording of clutch build data from assembled components.
Ideally experienced in the use of measurement equipment such as Verniers, Micrometres, Dial Test Indicators, and other specialist gauging equipment.
Must be comfortable with the use of hand tools for fine finishing of components.
Understands Health and Safety requirements.
Must be based within a commutable distance of Sunbury on Thames, London.
Assembly Technician Salary & Benefits
Salary - £38,000 to £40,000 - dependent upon experience, skill, and qualification.
Working hours - 08:30am to 17:00pm - 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).
Holiday package - 22 days + bank holidays.
All specialist training required will be provided.
Overalls, safety shoes, and PPE supplied.
