Location: Hybrid with 3 days at our Manchester Office
Key Role:
* Provide excellent customer service to clients.
* Arrange import and export airfreight shipments from beginning to end.
* Prepare all documentation relating to specific shipments with contact and coordination with hauliers, airlines and overseas agents.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations
* Complete all import and export requirements for clients and overseas agents.
* Positively resolve and communicate discrepancies or delays to the Client and Overseas Partner if appropriate.
* Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best service and best pricing for the client.
Customer Service
* Deliver excellent customer communication at all times to ensure we are delivering the best service.
* Maintain client and department SOP’s.
* Identify and share development opportunities.
* Work within the current credit policy.
Administration
* Create Cargowise shipments.
* Complete all order management and tracking information as agreed in the SOP.
* Complete all sales and purchase e-billing.
* Maintain job costing and profit details for each job.
* Upload commercial documents to eDocs/Cargowise.
* Load Non-Conformance Exceptions to Cargowise where applicable.
Compliance
* Complete all customs requirements and ensure compliance.
* Keep up-to-date with changing compliance laws.
* Complete other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested.
* At all times represent and act in the best interest of the company, the shareholders and the employees.
* Work in accordance with the company values to maintain a positive environment with all teams across all departments.

* Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
* Project Management: Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage uncertainty.
Typical Background and Experience
* Multi-skilled across import and export airfreight.
* Work as part of a team.
* Work with pride and professionalism.
* Working hazardous knowledge is desirable.
* Import and export airfreight knowledge is mandatory.
* Customs knowledge is mandatory.
* Working knowledge of Cargowise One is desirable.
