Job Description: Job Title - Settlement Technician Location - Chatham, London — On-site attendance required at least three days per week. Contract - Permanent Shift Pattern - Monday – Friday – 9am-5.30pm Velonetic represents the joint ventures between DXC Technology, the International Underwriting Association (IUA), and Lloyd’s of London. Processing over £101 billion worth of premium and claims transactions today, we are building a new digital platform and services that will enable our customers to move transactions and money through the processing lifecycle with greater efficiency and speed, releasing time to drive innovation and focus on higher value activities. Main Duties Validating bank mandates and other registration forms, raising queries as required Setting up bank accounts in our in-house systems Liaising with the customers and their banks Updating various system tables to ensure onward processing can complete Completion of various daily settlement tasks to ensure settlement runs smoothly Creating, and maintaining procedures to ensure the latest process is documented Providing evidence and responding to questions raised by internal and external auditors Skills & Experience Strong customer service skills to ensure the customer is kept up to date with progress on their issue. Good analytical and communication skills are needed to ascertain the problems the customer is encountering so that you can resolve their issues in a timely manner. The ability to multitask is key as you will often be managing multiple queries from various customers simultaneously. You will need to have an eye for detail and work to a high degree of accuracy as its important to be observant and notice any discrepancies or errors within documentation Change focus quickly as business needs dictate Work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines A flexible team player with a “can do” attitude Knowledge of banking and insurance processes is advantageous but not essential.
