Aspiring Therapist – Full Time – ASAP Start or September 2024
Do you want to gain industry experience alongside your studies? Do you want to gain a better understanding of children’s development?
An amazing specialist education centre in the Windsor area is excited to take on an Aspiring Therapist graduate to join their support staff team on a full-time basis. The specialist educates students with a variety of social, emotional and mental health needs. As an Aspiring Therapist, you will be supporting students with additional needs, some of whom struggle with challenges relating to developmental trauma and neglect. These young people need consistency and patience to help them achieve an education, providing a perfect opportunity for any Aspiring Therapist to see how they can make a difference.
The role's responsibilities will include supporting students on a 1-1 basis, ensuring they maintain focus and stay on task. You will work with the classroom teacher to develop tailored lesson plans. You will collaborate with dedicated, professional therapists, psychologists, and behavior analysts to ensure students can reach their full potential, offering a rare opportunity for any Aspiring Therapist to envision their career path. The successful candidate will learn effective communication skills, confidence, and how to coach young people through turbulent situations.

The successful candidate should be proactive, empathetic, and confident in their ability to take the initiative to provide these young people with high-quality care and support. Graduates (Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, etc.) are encouraged to apply; experience with SEN/SEMH children and/or adults would be desirable but not mandatory.
