About Us:
Located in the lovely village of Ewerby (5 miles to the East of Sleaford). The home is set around a lovely old vicarage, which has been selectively extended in keeping with its character. The home provides personal care, including nursing and dementia care, for 42 residents.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead shifts and provide the highest possible level of care to our residents, assisting with their daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity. You will:
• Lead shifts, ensuring high standards of care are maintained
• Provide and document daily medication rounds without error
• Oversee and support your team, ensuring all care tasks are completed to the highest standard
• Promote best practices and challenge poor practices
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members and manage any concerns or complaints in line with the Home Manager
Essential Requirements:
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care)
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting
• Understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning and adult safeguarding principles
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a team
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Must live within 30 minutes of the home
Preferred Requirements:
• Two years’ experience in a senior care role
• Experience working with residents living with dementia
• NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above
• Knowledge of National Care Standards and effective one-to-one performance reviews
