Job Description: Position Summary The Desktop Support Technician will perform a variety of support activities including but not limited to the remediation of desktop computer issues, the installation of desktop computers, and the support of desktop computer users with their hardware and software needs. They will both resolve tickets in an incident management system and work on various projects and deployments as required. In addition, they will work on projects to test and evaluate software and hardware; may be the lead on some projects. The Desktop Support Technician should be able to solve problems of moderate to high complexity without help and escalate very complex problems to more senior staff. Be knowledgeable about and apply company policies t o customer requests. Essential Job Functions Provide technical support for users of desktop hardware and software; users can be in remote locations Troubleshoot application issues including viruses, hard disk diagnostics and file repair, data encryption. Be familiar with remote access technologies such as VPN and Citrix. Troubleshoot printers and copier interfaces Timely updates and closures of tickets in Service Now. Perform a variety of support activities including inventory and coordination with outside technology vendors Work overtime hours, weekend hours and on-call hours as required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred Strong technical knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 and Microsoft Office 365 Be familiar with supporting VC equipment and experience using Zoom, MS Teams and Skype Experience with supporting mobile devices (Blackberry and iPhone) Experience with white glove support of VIP customers Excellent customer services skills Excellent communication skills Team player attitude Self-starter – able to work with minimal supervision Basic Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing printers, PC’s and laptops Work Location This role reports on-site at our London office and is currently expected to be in the office at least 5 days per week About Us: Guggenheim Securities is the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.
