Overview of Department:
The Corporate Technology Department provides a full IT service to all areas of the MUSI business. The Applications Integration team is a small team within the wider Architecture & Development area, responsible for developing and supporting a variety of integration processes and the intranet platforms across a number of business areas in MUSI. The team works very closely with the business and with other teams in Technology.
Main Purpose of role:
The primary purpose of this role is to work within a small team to assist with the development and maintenance of Low Code applications in all areas of the business. You should be familiar with best practices within this field and have previously been exposed to similar roles within the banking environment. You will be expected to be knowledgeable in the Microsoft Power Platform suite as well as associated technologies such as SharePoint and VBA within the Microsoft Office suite.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a trusted advisor to both the technology team and the business to propose innovative solutions to real-world business problems.
2. Develop and maintain low-code applications built on the Microsoft Power Platforms and complementary technologies.
3. Work closely with business users to define solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements.
4. Balance the development of business functionality with the need to provide robust, supportable solutions within the constraints of a banking environment.
5. Manage all aspects of testing to ensure successful deployment of changes.
6. Support users as required during UAT.
Skills and Experience:
1. Development of Power Platform components including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
2. Experience of connecting Power Platform applications to external data sources such as SQL and SharePoint.
3. Detailed Knowledge of the PowerFx Formula language.
4. Understanding of security considerations within the Power Platform environment.
5. Understanding of deployment considerations within an enterprise environment.
6. Experience of using APIs and other service integration techniques.
7. Experience of application development within a Banking environment.
8. Automation of the Microsoft Office suite using VBA.
9. Planning and prioritization skills.
10. Scripting language experience such as Python, PowerShell or VBScript.
11. SQL development experience, including relational model design and stored procedures.
12. Microsoft Office Suite application development, including Access DB and Excel.
