Academics is looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist SEMH school in Crawley. This role is a great opportunity to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead small group sessions and provide targeted learning support
* Assist in planning and delivering lessons alongside teachers
* Support students' emotional well-being, behaviour, and engagement
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
Requirements
* HLTA qualification or significant TA experience with progression
* Experience working with SEMH or SEN students
* Confident leading small groups and supporting learning
* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
* Full UK driving licence (school is not easily accessible by public transport)
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
