Salary: £30,930 rising to £32,571 upon passing successful probation.
A vacancy has arisen for a Track Maintenance Operative to join the Track Maintenance team based out of Crewe.
Freightliner Track Maintenance carry out track inspections and repairs at all Freightliner sites in the UK and also at a number of our customer sites.
Responsibilities:
* Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and working standards.
* Ensure Freightliner company standards and procedures are applied and followed.
* Inspect, maintain and repair track in accordance with maintenance plans.
* Ensure all relevant paperwork is correctly completed to company standards.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
* Commitment to safe working practices.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience in operating a variety of power tools, plant and machinery.
* Knowledge of railway and a PTS holder would be advantageous.
The successful applicant should be a safety conscious and motivated self-starter, a fully versatile team member who has a flexible approach to working hours as this role will involve out base working and lodging away including weekend working and on-call duties.
