We are looking for a Business Development Manager – FM to join our team in London.
Working as a Business Development Manager – FM you will lead the business development function in FM services to build relationships, raise the profile of Skanska FM capability, identify suitable opportunities in line with Business Plan and support the growth of the Operating Unit.
What you'll do:
* Deliver a sustainable pipeline of work in accordance with the business strategy.
* Be a key contributor and collaborator in the development of the business strategy for the assigned sector/geography.
* Be an integral part of the preconstruction team within the Building Services Operating Unit, liaising with the Operations team and, specifically the senior leadership team.
* Provide proactive business development for the Operating Unit which is aligned to the business strategy and in accordance with the Skanska Tender Approval Process.
* Create, present and manage Customer Engagement Plans for the Operating Unit within the assigned sector/geography, including supporting members of the Operating Unit to assist in delivery of the CEP.
* Maintain and deepen existing customer relationships to provide future opportunities for work.
* Develop new customer relationships providing quality negotiated, framework and tender opportunities for the Operating Unit.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Ability to communicate and influence effectively to develop and maintain customer relationships.
* Business and strategic acumen is essential to develop negotiated, framework and tender opportunities.
* Thorough knowledge of business development and creating negotiated framework and bid opportunities.
* Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts.
* Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion.
* Can deliver reports orally and in writing in an objective and persuasive manner.
* Knowledge of the FM/construction industry and experience within a project-based organisation and operations within London.
