Job summary
Responsible for the efficient and effective management of a service delivery area, by planning, organising, monitoring and controlling services to ensure the delivery of high-quality pre-hospital and patient transport care by competent, motivated employees. To ensure safe, efficient and appropriate care is provided to all service users.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for providing direct line management to EMSC colleagues and Clinicians with overall accountability for the management of all staff within their scope of responsibility. This level of managerial responsibility is to include providing visible leadership across their Centre area.
Achieve, and maintain Trust key performance targets, which will include achieving financial balance and identified savings plans within the post-holder's area of responsibility. To have responsibility for, and to advise the Service Manager, on all aspects of the efficient and effective management of service delivery.
Three of these are for leadership and management of Emergency Medical Services Coordination Centres across Wales, with a fourth one providing leadership and management for the Clinical Navigators within the Coordination Centres

1. Knowledge of health service management to master's level achieved through professionally related qualifications and/or relevant experience

3. Current Silver/Tactical Commander qualification (can be achieved post-entry)
